Meka is a compassionate Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who has dedicated her practice to trauma recovery. With over seven years of experience supporting survivors of brain injury and concurrent mental health challenges, she brings a deep understanding of healing and resilience.
Meka holds a Recreation Therapy diploma from Niagara College, a Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies with a major in Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in Sociology from Brock University, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Meka was inspired by the Latin term vera, meaning "true" or "truth," a reflection of her commitment to authenticity and sincerity in her practice. With a holistic and integrative approach, Vera Wellness was also founded with the healing qualities of the aloe vera plant in mind, symbolizing Meka’s dedication to providing a restorative and supportive therapeutic environment.
